About This Service

What to expect.

Solar panels are designed to stay in place for many years, so the roof under them should be in good condition. If your roof is near the end of its life, it is usually best to replace it before the panels are installed. Because we provide both roofing and solar, you can work with one company for both.

FAQs

Solar FAQs

Should I replace my roof before installing solar panels?

If your roof is near the end of its life, yes. Replacing it first means the panels will not need to be removed and reinstalled when the roof is replaced later.

Will removing panels void my solar warranty?

It depends on your solar provider and your contract, so check with your provider before any roof work is scheduled.

Do you provide both roofing and solar?

Yes. FBM Roofing & Solar provides roofing services and solar panel installation.
